The Giada di Bottos seed mixture has been specially designed, selecting the best European turf varieties, to make it particularly suitable for use in shaded conditions in home gardens and parks.

The presence of Festuca Rubra Rubra and Festuca Rubra Commutata gives the turf a refined appearance thanks to thinner and finer leaves, allowing a greater density of the carpet to be obtained in a short time with better resistance to low cutting, guaranteeing a more intense color in the winter periods even in the coldest areas. The color tends towards a brighter shade especially in the warmer periods.

Tolerant towards the fungal diseases of Mal Bianco, Filo Rosso, Dollar Spot and Microdochium nivale.

Sowing and Dosage

Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 8°C). The dosage is 30-40 g/m2, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect processing of the seedbed. We recommend always using lawn soil. When overseeding, increase the dosage to 50 g/m2.

Cut

Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present. In annual management, in full shade do not go below 6 cm, while in mixed sun/shade areas the mowing can be managed at around 4 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present

Irrigation

When sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. In the summer period, irrigate with 6 mm/day of water and increase to 10 mm/day in full shade from deciduous trees.

Nutrition

Phosphate fertilization at sowing. When managed in the shade, opt for a 1:2 N/K ratio with no more than 15 nitrogen units m2/year. In sunny/shaded situations, do not exceed more than 20 units of nitrogen m2/year. Also plan 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to shade and heat.
