Royal Blue is a seed for creating a lawn with a strong dark green color and medium-fine texture, ideal for areas with a warm or temperate climate (not in the mountains).

It is a mixture made up of the latest generation American varieties, with high resistance to drought and salinity, thermal stress (hot and cold) and the main pathologies.

A seed that resists trampling very well even in the shade, with excellent bright results with up to 50% less direct light.

All the American varieties of fescue contained are of high quality, at the top of the American NTEP rankings, with a significant dark green color, fineness of the leaf texture and improved tolerance to poor irrigation and the main summer diseases compared to other varieties on the national market .

Sowing and Dosage

Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 12°C). The dosage is 40-50 g/m2, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect processing of the seedbed. We recommend using lawn soil. During regeneration, increase the dosage to 55/60 g/m2

Cut

Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 6-8 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the vegetation present and do not cut below 40mm. Below this measurement it is possible to go below this size only with a helical cut. With mowing management above 60 mm, the carpet becomes coarser, with a more pronounced leaf texture.

Irrigation

When sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. On a mature lawn, in the summer period irrigate with 10 mm of water every 2-3 days. Pay attention to water management, do not exaggerate with the quantities and frequencies of distribution in the hottest periods to avoid encouraging the onset of potential seasonal diseases. In case of shade from pine trees, double the wetting times in the hottest periods.

Nutrition

Phosphate fertilization at sowing and then management of the carpet at maturity with 25 units of nitrogen m2/year, choosing specific fertilizers for lawns, preferably with controlled release. Schedule 4 annual fertilizations. Also schedule 2 to 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to trampling and heat.
