Lawn biostimulants

Biostimulants are a new frontier in the turf context, because they are products that complement normal lawn management . They are organic in nature and allow you to improve the turf in stressful conditions . Biostimulants are metabolism activators to combat environmental stress (e.g. excessive use of herbicides, fungicides, too low cuts, soil salinity, heat stroke, UV radiation).
In a stress regime the plant retreats , reduces its metabolism, consumes more of the reserve substances accumulated in the best periods and tends to gradually degenerate.
This happens even if we respect all good maintenance practices.
The main products that have a biostimulant action are: Algae Extracts, Humic Substances, Amino Acids, Sugar Compounds, Salicylic Acid and Potassium Silicates.
In conclusion, it is advisable to integrate traditional maintenance with a series of 3/4 biostimulant treatments during the year to have a turf in the best conditions.
